Since we are vegans who try our hardest to be as raw and organic as possible in Singapore, we extended our hunt to Phuket for healthy, organic food and these are our top 8 #eatclean yummy picks!

1) We Café

We Café is set up right next to a famous hydroponic farm – this is as fresh as it gets!  We Café serves healthy juices and smoothies, as well as salads, sandwiches, pastas. I requested a fresh avocado cocoa soy shake which they specially made for me even though it wasn’t on the menu!

There is also a small grocery section that sells fresh organic produce and all products are grown according to strict agriculture practices.

2) Atsumi Raw Café

The Atsumi Raw Café serves lovingly prepared raw vegan and raw vegetarian desserts and mains as well as an amazing selection of juices and smoothies. Wherever possible, they use locally sourced and organic ingredients.

They are very vegan friendly and offers almond milk with their organic coffee. Atsumi Raw Café is a fully raw café with amazing value for money; 5 of us shared various raw dishes for 3 course dinner and it cost us less than SGD$90 in total. Raw chocolate dessert is a must try!

3) Phuket Cleanse [part of the wellness program]

I have been exposed to a few detox centres because of my mum cancer recovery journey, and I must say Phuket Cleanse has the MOST intensive programs I have ever come across. But the good thing is you can be doing and learning something EVERY moment, or you can choose to chill out and not do any programs for the day. Phuket Cleanse focuses on holistic detox – physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and believes in continued learning after you leave Phuket Cleanse.

Phuket Cleanse programs reflect their beliefs with fitness classes (physical), master classes on nutrition and health (mental), yoga/meditation (spiritual) and master classes on break self limiting beliefs (emotional). We only got to spend half a day at Phuket Cleanse this trip with extremely hospital hosts – Stanton, Melanie and Phil and we will definitely be back!

4) Santosa Detox and Wellness Center [part of the wellness center]

Santosa reminds me a lot of Santorini, Greece with its all white architecture set on a hill, sparkling against the sunset rays. Santosa also offers a spectacular view of the Andaman Ocean! Serving modern vegan and raw food, Santosa’s healthy, plant based menu aims to help to restore alkalinity, whilst exciting the palate with fresh and exuberant flavors. Almost all of our ingredients are sourced from local providers and we offer organic produce wherever possible. Truly a 5 star raw vegan restaurant – delighting in ambience, food presentation and food taste!

5) Atmanjai [part of the wellness center]

Set with a perfect view of a private beach, Atmanjai is a natural location for a retreat centre. It helps that natural ingredients of the highest quality are put together in the open-air restaurant at Friendship Beach Resort & Atmanjai Wellness Centre. The sauces, stocks, creams and fillings have been created from the best unprocessed dairy products and natural ingredients, not using any artificial colors, flavors or MSG. I love the view!

6) Flavor Restaurant [previously known as Flavor Organic Restaurant]

Eric, from Belgium, is a true blue chef who is very particular about how his dishes taste. His passion for food flavours is reflected in his restaurant name choice – Flavor Restaurant. He sources all his produce fresh from the market, makes his sauces from scratch and uses healthy coconut oil for cooking. While he used to run a full organic restaurant in Belgium, he has chosen to remove ‘organic’ from his restaurant name because there is very limited organic certification in Phuket and he didn’t want to mislead his customers in any way. But if you chat with him, you know he puts his heart into sourcing for the most natural ingredients as possible as he believes natural, organic foods produces the best flavours in his dishes.
